My research interests revolve around three main axes: The analysis of planetary gravitational fields and topography, the thermal evolution and interior structure of the Moon and Mars, and the cratering history of the terrestrial planets. I am also participating in several planetary missions, such as NASA's lunar gravity mapping mission GRAIL (Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory), NASA's mission InSight to place a geophysical station on Mars, and the laser altimeter on ESA's BepiColumbo mission to Mercury.
SHTOOLS is an archive of fortran 95 based software for working with data expressed in spherical harmonics.
This archive contains spherical harmonic models of the shape of the Earth, Moon, Mars, and Venus.
This archive contains crustal thickness maps of the Moon derived from GRAIL gravity data.

FARSIDE is a proposed mission to the farside of the Moon that consists of a lander and an instrumented relay satellite. The lander would make radio astronomy, geophysical, and geochemical measurements from the interior of the 2000-km diameter South Pole-Aitken basin. From a relay satellite at the Earth-Moon L2 Lagrange point, the surface would be monitored for impact-generated light flashes, and synergistic radio and magnetic measurements would be obtained. This mission was proposed to ESA as a Cosmic Vision M4 mission candidate with a launch in 2025. Download the FARSIDE M4 proposal.
