  Claude Jaupart receives the AGU Harry H. Hess Medal.

Claude Jaupart, Director of the Institut de physique du globe de Paris is a French geophysicist and member of the French Academy of Sciences, Professor at the University Paris-Diderot, he is one of the world specialists of natural risks due to geological causes.

 

 

 

The Harry H. Hess Medal which rewards his work is one of the prestigious awards of the American Geophysical Union (AGU).
It is awarded annually to one scientist for outstanding research on the formation and evolution of the Earth and other planets.

 

 

AGU will celebrate the honorees' breakthrough achievements and exceptional work in december at the Fall Meeting in San Francisco.
