The 6th International Clumped Isotope Workshop will be held in the institut de physique du globe de Paris (IPGP) right before the 2017 Goldschmidt conference, from Thursday, August 10th to Saturday, August 12th 2017.
The event is co-organized by the institut de physique du globe de Paris (IPGP) and the laboratoire des sciences du climat et de l'environnement (LSCE).
For practical reasons, the workshop will be limited to a maximum of 120 attendees.
The aims of the workshop are to bring together current and aspiring practitioners of clumped isotope measurements, to share practical knowledge and methodologies, to present new technical advances, and to discuss best practices, particularly in terms of data reporting, standardization and comparison of measurements from different groups. Students are encouraged to participate.
All five past workshops have produced important methodological advances, thanks to very open discussions and frank exchanges of ideas. We hope that the 2017 meeting is as successful, and look forward to seeing you all in Paris.
The final program will be based on the abstract submitted. However note that we are already planning to organize presentations and discussions around themes including the following aspects of the clumped isotopes methodological and interpretational frameworks:
Note that we will prioritize non-application studies with a particular focus on discussing the nuts and bolts of the technique (since application studies will have the possibility to be presented at the broader audience Goldschmidt conference).
The deadline for registration and abstract submission is April 29th, 2017. No abstract or registration will be accepted after this date. Only one abstract by presenter will be accepted.
The registration page can be found here : http://sfis.eu/les-reunions-de-la-sfis/clumped-isotopes-workshop-2017
These registration fees include participation to the meeting, submission of one abstract, coffee breaks, on-site lunch and the workshop banquet.
