Since 2015 we start a project (between IRD-UGM) to understand the volcanic and tectonic interaction, in this case, the Opak’s Fault responsible for the devastated M6.3 Yogyakarta Earthquake 2006 and Merapi Volcano. Following the 2010 great Merapi eruption, some small explosions begin with a tectonic earthquake in southern of Java. In the beginning, we start with an attempt to understand the structure of Opak’s fault and Merapi volcano by exploiting the spatial autocorrelation technique from the ambient noise record from the DOMERAPI Project and a temporary deployment of a seismic array. The preliminary result will be shown by some tomogram images of Opak’s Fault and Merapi volcano.
