Thesis: The climate during the Pleistocene-Holocene transition of eastern Pamirs – New insights from δ18O and δ13C in sediments of Lake Karakul, Tajikistan.
2014: Technical assistant at Freie Universität Berlin, Berlin, Germany, HBCD monitoring program in Europe 2007 - 2014 (1 month).
Accomplishments: Sampling river sediments from sediment traps for analyses of HBCD (Hexabromocyclododecane) and servicing the traps. Sample localities in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and France.
2012 – 2014: Teaching assistant at Freie Universität Berlin, Berlin, Germany, working with Harry Becker and Konrad Hammerschmidt.
Accomplishments: Organisation and realisation of seminars for repetition and consolidation of course contents, preparation and supervision of written exams, examination and grading.

2012: Internship at the CICESE (Centro de investigación científica y de educación superior de Ensenada), Ensenada, Mexico (2 months).
Accomplishments: Groundwater sampling at the Sonora desert and Guadalupe valley (Mexico), analysing the major cations and anions with ion chromatography, characterising catchment area, generating catchment maps with ArcGIS.
Accomplishments: Ground- and surface water sampling at the former sewage farms in Hobrechtsfelde (Berlin), determination of S2-, NH4+, NO2-, pH and conductivity in the field of groundwater (at monitoring wells) and surface water, installation and maintainance of data logger for temperature and groundwater level measurements, drilling monitoring wells with driving core technique.
2010: Internship at the communal sewage treatment company Berliner Wasserbetriebe in the laboratory Ruhleben, Berlin, Germany (2 months).
Accomplishments: Chemical and biological analyses of municipal and industrial waste water.
