I am dedicated to advancing the field of earthquake seismology through the application of numerical modelling and seismic imaging techniques. My research focuses on elucidating the underlying mechanisms of earthquake nucleation and assessing seismic hazards. By combining 3D numerical modelling with laboratory rock experiments, I investigate the processes of weakening and rupture preceding and during earthquakes. Through these investigations, I aim to contribute to the development of earthquake early warning systems and enhance our understanding of natural hazards. Currently, I am actively involved in the development of methodologies for detecting nonlinear site effects using predominant frequency analysis, which I further validate through 3D numerical modelling techniques. In addition to my expertise in seismic hazard assessment, I possess a strong background in tectonics, exploration geophysics, and earthquake geology.
