  • L2 : Introduction to coding for Geosciences

Core courses: This course focuses on learning a working method for solving scientific problems. This method is then implemented using a programming language to solve problems and process data. At the end of the course, students will be able to manipulate data files, process the data mathematically and visualize the results, using the Python programming language. This new skill can then be used in other courses or in subsequent years to solving scientific or other problems

  • L3 : Coding for Geosciences

Core courses: In this second part of the programming course, students will familiarize them selves with Geographical Information System concepts using a programming language (Python)

  • M1 : Data analysis in Geosciences

Core courses: This course focuses on learning a working method for scientific problem solving, automatic processing and analysis of large quantities of data. This method is then implemented using a programming language to solve concrete examples encountered in Earth Science. At the end of the course, students will be able to manipulate data files, process the data mathematically and visualize the results, using the Python programming language.

  • M1 : Geochronology

Core courses: This course provides an overview of the main geochronological methods used in Earth Sciences, including radiometric dating techniques and cosmogenic isotopes.

Academic Leadership

Head of the Bachelor of Science in Geology (2015 - 2024)

In this role, my primary focus was on the comprehensive overhaul and modernization of the undergraduate curriculum. This involved designing new core courses, integrating computational labs into the program, and establishing a framework for undergraduate research theses.

Co-founder of the Bachelor of Art and sciences "Politique de la Terre" with Sciences Po (2015 - 2024)

The Bachelor of Arts and Sciences (BASc), “Politiques de la Terre” is a double degree in sciences and humanities. For the BASc in Paris, students follow the general program at Sciences Po and, in parallel, a degree in Earth Sciences at the Institut du Globe de Paris (Université de Paris - IPGP).

Head of Politique de la Terre for UPC-IPGP (2019 - 2024)

Coding for data analysis in Geosciences

scientists in a variety of disciplines to analyze and process data, and to automate processing tasks in order to apply mathematical methods to large quantities of data. Over the years, programming has become a very powerful (if not indispensable) tool for solving scientific problems.
