Since 1995 the eruption of the andesitic Soufriere Hills volcano (SHV), Montserrat, has been studied in unprecedented detail and the volcano has become an important natural laboratory for investigations of volcanic processes. This lecture will provide insights into selected eruptive events, on data obtained from the CALIPSO borehole observatory network (and allied surface monitoring stations), and on results from the 2007 SEA-CALIPSO experiment to image the arc crust and lithosphere about Montserrat using tomography, reflection seismology, and profiling. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Séminaires généraux de l'Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
