Micronutrients such as Fe, Co or Mn are essential for phytoplankton growing in the ocean. They are brought from continental soil to remote oceanic regions by wind erosion and atmospheric transport and deposition. In this case, such atmospheric supply may drive primary production over large oceanic area, especially in the South, and therefore control CO2 uptake. Measuring and understanding the flux of such key elements is a challenge because of their very low concentrations and still unknown bioavailable properties. I will present here some results including deposition, emission and solubility measurements
