Content / Work

I am a PhD candidate at Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris since October 2025.

My research focuses on the tsunamis potentially generated by volcanic activity around Mayotte, particularly in the horseshoe-shaped submarine area. I combine geological and geophysical datasets to characterize the structure and evolution of this region and to assess its tsunamigenic potential. My work involves developing realistic flank-collapse scenarios for both past and potential future volcanic edifices, and numerically simulating their failure and the resulting tsunami generation and propagation.

Research Project and Supervision

My PhD research is conducted within the framework of the ROM project (“Risques sismo-volcaniques, tsunamis et hydro-climatiques en Outre-Mer et zones intertropicales”) within Work Package 2 (WP2).

My PhD supervisor is Anne Le Friant, and I am co-supervised by J.-C. Komorowski, A. Lemoine, and A. Mangeney.
