Created in March 2020 by Paris Cité University and the Paris Institute of Earth Physics, the Paris Cité University Foundation identifies, promotes and raises funds for projects that provide sustainable, socially responsible and digital solutions to the societal challenges of today and tomorrow.
The Foundation that addresses the major challenges facing our world
The Foundation’s approach is comprehensive, incorporating scientific, physical, psychological, economic, social and environmental dimensions into the major issues it addresses. The projects it funds therefore aim to promote understanding of diseases, the development of societies, informed control of new technologies and the health of our planet.
A partner serving teams
The Université Paris Cité Foundation supports and develops the societal impact of the work of researchers and teachers, in particular through:
- The development of multidisciplinary research chairs and programmes
- Financial support for educational and research projects
- Creating awards
- Establishing scholarships
- Promoting and disseminating knowledge and expertise
The Foundation’s partners and patrons make a concrete contribution through their support, helping to accelerate research, boost the economy and disseminate knowledge. The aim is to transform our world and prepare it for the major upheavals it is facing.

Through its multidisciplinary approach, Université Paris Cité provides concrete responses to the major challenges facing our societies today and tomorrow. The Foundation, an independent organisation, has two objectives: to develop the financial resources needed to support Université Paris Cité's strategic projects and to foster interaction with the socio-economic world through active and sustainable partnerships.
