The goal of this PhD work is to better understand the impact of the ground surface during the propagation of a seismic rupture, including in a context of complex fault geometry. Hence, using dynamic rupture tools, the interaction between rupture propagation and ground surface a been studied theoretically and in the framework of the Le Teil (2019) earthquake.
