Several M8 earthquakes occurred in Mongolia during the last centuries. However, recovering time series and displacement for past earthquakes remains
difficult as the geomorphic record is very limited and in many location of Mongolia, permafrost hinders classic paleoseismology. Thus, in this work we will try to sample the numerous lakes of Mongolia to recover past earthquake records along the main faults of Mongolia.
