Content / Work

As a third year PhD student, my research focuses on understanding and modeling the seismic source of meteorite impacts, such as those recorded by the InSight mission on Mars and the Apollo missions on the Moon. In collaboration with the Los Alamos National Laboratory (Earth and Environmental Sciences Division) and using the SPECFEM3D and HOSS codes, I develop numerical models of the elastic and non-linear processes generated by such impacts. Thanks to the seismic Representation Theorem, I extract from these simulations a simple, meaningful model of the source.

I am also interested in the theory of seismo-acoustic coupling and its applications to recent impacts recorded on Mars.
