Con_sentiment{s}: a show about consent in sexuality

For the International Women's Rights Day, the Equality Network of the ASPC alliance is organising a performance-debate on the play "Con_sentiment{s}", by the Compagnie Sexe et Consentement, at the IPGP. This play focuses on the notion of consent through the media treatment of the violence suffered by Maria Schneider during the shooting of the film "Un Dernier Tango à Paris".

Con-Sentiment{s}, a performance to focus on the notion of consent in sexuality

Con-Sentiment{s} is a theatre-dance creation based on testimonies put into poetry and told sometimes with humour, which invites us to deconstruct the idea of a grey area in terms of consent. Based on the collection of liberated words, this performance created by Brenda Boote Bidal, Ella Hamonic and Clotilde Meeroff, on texts by Ella Hamonic, questions the means of expressing consent as well as the norms related to sexuality.

The show will be followed by a debate in the presence of the actors and the association “Sexe et consentement”.

« This show was designed for a young adult audience to encourage open discussion around the notion of sexual consent. »
