Earthquake in Charente-Maritime: a brief explanation from Martine Simoes

On Friday 16 June, a moderate earthquake was widely felt in western France, with its epicentre located near the commune of La Laigne. Martine Simoes, a CNRS researcher and co-head of the "natural hazards" theme at the IPGP, takes a look at the mechanisms behind this earthquake on video (in french).
