Zoe is a PhD student working on the structure and dynamics of magmatic systems. Her research focuses on the petrological investigation of eruptive products to better constrain the architecture and evolution of the magmatic plumbing system beneath La Soufrière de Guadeloupe. In particular, she studies chemical zoning in phenocrysts and antecrysts to reconstruct magma storage conditions, magma interactions, and the processes leading to eruptions. By linking petrological records preserved in crystals with observations from volcano monitoring, her work aims to improve the interpretation of geophysical and geochemical signals and to better understand the magmatic processes occurring during episodes of volcanic unrest.
