I joined the Planetology and Space Science team in March 2026 as a postdoctoral fellow, funded by the French Space Agency (CNES). Previously, from 2020 to 2023, I pursued my PhD jointly within this team and the Earth and Environmental Sciences Division at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, under the supervision of Pr. Philippe Lognonné and Dr. Carène Larmat.I am interested in the history and evolution of the planets in our solar system, and I investigate these questions using seismological methods. More specifically, my research focuses on two phenomena:
- Meteorite impacts in the solar system. These energetic events are a significant source of seismic waves on the Moon and Mars, where they have been recorded by the seismometers of the Apollo and InSight missions. Combining seismic source theory, numerical modeling and data analysis, I investigate what the impact cratering process can reveal about planetary interiors.
- Seismo-acoustic coupling processes. Planetary atmospheres are mechanically coupled to their solid surfaces, allowing exchanges of acoustic and seismic energy. This phenomenon has important implications for monitoring of energetic sources such as explosions, meteors and volcanoes on Earth and Mars. Ground deformation by pressure perturbation in the air can also be used to infer elastic properties of the subsurface, as demonstrated on both planets. Finally, this phenomenon could enable the exploration of the Venusian interiors using sensors deployed in the atmosphere rather than on the ground, for example aboard balloons. In recent years, I contributed to various studies on these topics.
I also participate to the “LISTEN-FLASH” ERC advanced project led by PIs Pr. Philippe Lognonné at IPGP and Marco Delbo at Observatoire de la Côte d’Azur (OCA). The project aims to monitor lunar impact flashes on the near side of the Moon using telescopes, to support seismic investigations.
You will find more a more detail resume and description of my research activities on my personal website.
