Content / Work

I aim to understand earthquake processes through an integrated seismogeodetic approach, with broad interests including:
  • Characterizing (a)seismic slip behavior using geodetic and seismological observations
  • Modeling earthquake ground motions for seismic hazard and engineering applications
  • Assessing future earthquake potential from historical events
  • Investigating natural and anthropogenic processes through environmental seismology

Background: Geophysicist (B.S., M.Sc.), PhD in Earth Sciences from the Tectonics and Mechanics of the Lithosphere team of the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris (UPC) and the Depto. de Geofísica (UChile). Ph.D. thesis: Interaction between fast and slow earthquakes.
